{"id":13,"date":"2010-04-12T02:03:00","date_gmt":"2010-04-12T02:03:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2016-01-01T19:33:48","modified_gmt":"2016-01-01T19:33:48","slug":"beard-shields","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heartwoodcollective.com\/infolantern\/2010\/04\/12\/beard-shields\/","title":{"rendered":"Beard shields"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple weeks ago on Twitter, the mighty <span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Vaguery\">Vaguery<\/a><\/b>                      sayeth: <span>&#8220;@<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mcburton\">mcburton<\/a> Alas, the unsuspecting  coder at the edge of the pack doesn&#8217;t realize a Business Development  Consultant is lurking in the corner\u2026&#8221;<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>To which there was the reply from the wily <span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mcburton\">mcburton<\/a><\/b>:                      <span><\/span>         <span>&#8220;@<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Vaguery\">Vaguery<\/a> my beard will protect me&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That prompted me to remember a conversation that came up at a party while talking to a bearded fellow about how our beards may relegate us to a certain class in society.<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter\/Facebook, I asked: <span><b><\/b><span title=\"Dan cooney\u2019s tweets are  protected.\"><\/span>               <span><\/span>         <span>How many political or business  leaders do you know of that have beards?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1st reply: <span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/libbyh\">libbyh<\/a><\/b>                      <span><\/span>         <span>: @<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/dcooney\">dcooney<\/a> bill richardson and al  gore sported beards. abe lincoln, of course \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>From the photos I looked up, I think Al looks fine with the beard.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/><span><span><br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/><span><span>Replied: <\/span><\/span><span><span>@<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/libbyh\">libbyh<\/a>  those are good ones.
